The University of Applied Sciences (FH) Kufstein Tirol not only offers students the opportunity to go abroad but is also a host university for incoming students. In total, more than 1,600 regular students started the new semester in October. At the beginning of the Orientation Days, FH Rector Prof. (FH) Dr. Mario Döller and Mag. Manuela Osterauer, Head of the International Relations Office (IRO), along with the entire team, personally welcomed the 97 guest students from 23 different countries on campus. They congratulated all incoming students on their decision to complete a semester abroad at the FH Kufstein Tirol and recommended that they not only study diligently but also seize the opportunity to experience the beautiful surroundings consciously.

Orientation day as a welcome culture

The high number of incoming students for the winter semester proves that the FH Kufstein Tirol holds a highly recognized and attractive position in the international academic landscape. Mag. Manuela Osterauer, with the IRO team, provided detailed information about the study program and conveyed the necessary initial information, while the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) introduced the Buddy Program and the student sports program. To conclude the introduction, the newly enrolled students from all over the world connected at a festive dinner in a relaxed atmosphere in the university's cafeteria. During their stay abroad, the students will be supported by the IRO of the FH Kufstein Tirol and their home university.

Internationalization measures

Over the past years, the FH Kufstein Tirol has signed bilateral cooperation agreements for both student and teacher mobility and is connected to an international university network of more than 215 partner institutions worldwide.
